Sunday April 13th
Donation deadline is March 30th
Service Auction 2025 is upon us. As you know the Service Auction is one of our favorite fundraisers of the year. This year it will be held again on Music Sunday, April 13th immediately after the service. Monies raised from the event are part of our annual operating budget. It is a silent auction; there will be bidding after the service for about an hour until it closes. Then you’ll be notified of your winnings during the following week and you can pay for them then.
There are many ways to participate.
- Your service – Host a meal (either in your home, at a restaurant or at the church. You can invite as few as 1 person or as many as you like). Buy tickets to a play or museum (maybe you’d go with). Teach a class about something – pickleball, mahjong, cell phone operation. Offer to help with weeding, cleaning, handyman work. If you need ideas check out the auction table by the fireplace or ask the committee
- Maybe you just need help with something (weeding, minor housework or handyman help, and you’d be willing to pay for that. Let us know the details and we’ll offer it at the auction
- Your time – we can use help with selling tickets and raffle tickets for the auction. And on auction Sunday we need help with child care and clean up.
- Your money – we understand that not everyone can or will want to donate an item to be auctioned. Your cash donation will help with expenses and add to the total raised.
We will have a wonderful catalog of offerings as well as a raffle drawing. Please click on the link above to add your creative donation ideas. Your involvement is key to making the auction a success. The donations are divided into several categories: Dining, Food, Entertainment, Services, Goods, and Art and Crafts. We don’t need the items now, just the information about them.
Do you have ideas? Need ideas? Please contact your Service Auction Committee with any questions mvuufauction@gmail.com. The donation deadline is to March 30th.
Please visit this page regularly and watch your Friday emails for updated information.
