Racial Justice

Purpose

The purpose of this ministry is to empower MVUUF and its membership to work together toward healing the past wounds of racism as well as dismantling the current systems of white supremacy culture (see definition https://www.uua.org/justice/dismantle-white-supremacy) within ourselves, our congregation and the broader community.

Work

Our work will include educating and training our congregation on the historical and current impacts of systemic racism and white privilege on society and the environment as well as advocacy, self-reflection and relationship-building with community partners with whom we share common cause.
