Music at MVUUF

Music is an important and integral part of MVUUF.  We have rich and varied music every Sunday morning performed by a rotation of our mixed choir, chorale, children’s choir, song leaders, or talented musicians.  Members of the congregation participate in several special music events during the year that also include classical and folk concerts, guest musicians, and our Zenith Ave coffee house.

We’re always welcoming new members to any of the choirs or as instrumentalists.  Email our music director, Nicole Collins, for more information.  Music@MNValleyuu.org

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir is comprised of 20 plus SATB singers that sing a variety of accompanied and acapella genres of music, including classical, gospel, world, and contemporary.  Speak with our Music Director, Nicole Collins, if you are interested in joining the choir.

Rehearsals (during the church year) are Wednesdays, 6:30 PM and Sundays, 9:15 AM.

Chorale

If you have a good sense of rhythm, a blending voice, and an interest in singing close harmonies in a smaller group ensemble, talk to Nicole Collins.
Rehearsals (during the church year) are Wednesdays 7:35-8:30 PM.

We always welcome new musical talents.

Children's Choir

Members of our Children’s Choir are ages 6-15 and have opportunities to learn how to be a soloist if they want, or simply sing with other kids who love music.  There are also times to feature their instrumental skills.  Rehearsals are immediately after Sunday services until 12:10.

Music Sundays

There are two Sundays each year when the Sunday morning service consists of musical performances

by vocal and instrumental soloists and small groups in the Fellowship.  These Sundays feature great music,

some laughs, and a few surprises.
