Humanism Group
The MVUUF Humanism Group alternates meeting times with the UU Christian Fellowship group on the 4th Sunday of the month after the Sunday Service. Check the calendar on main page for more information.
Soul Matters
Tom Ehlinger Coordinator
Soul Matters is a curated, theme-based resource from the UUA. Each month, groups focus on a new spiritual theme that connects worship services to religious education and small group discussions. Through monthly packets participants explore spiritual themes—such as “Story” or “Commitment”—to deepen spiritual growth and foster community connection. Please contact the office if interested. office@mnvalleyuu.org
Spirit Grove
Anthony Dallozzi, Coordinator
Spirit Grove of the Twin Cities (SGTC or Spirit Grove) is a Pagan affinity group at MN Valley UU Fellowship in Bloomington. Their goal is to build a Pagan and Earth-centered collective within the UU community, eventually becoming an official Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPs) chapter. They meet on the 2nd Sunday after services at MVUUF, and the 4th Saturday of the month online. For those wishing to attend online, please contact the office for the link, or if you have any other questions. office@mnvalleyuu.org

Winding River Buddhist Sanga (practice group)
Steve Vincent, Lead Co-facilitator
Winding River is a lay-led Buddhist group that meets weekly on Saturdays at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Meetings include 20-minutes of meditation, a group dharma reading, shared reflections from group participants (dharma sharing), and a chance to share the merit of the day’s practice with others. Gatherings last about one hour. We seek to learn from Buddhist teachings; share everyday practice experiences; and support each other’s journey. Winding River follows the tradition of Thich Naht Hahn’s Plum Village Monastery and is part of its lay-led sangha program. We are also part of the UU Buddhist Fellowship, an alliance of UU congregational sanghas.
Winding River is open to everyone without regard to experience with Buddhism, meditation or affiliation with MVUUF. For questions, a copy of our newsletter, or to be placed on our mailing list please contact Steve at stephen-vincent1{at}live.com.
